From a single vineyard, San Saba Vineyard, that is located just south of the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA this clonal selection of Pinot Noir is really something for under $30. Always a bit lighter than the brooding wines of the Santa Lucia Highlands the Pinots of Wrath still never lack personality, or big flavors, they just may have a touch more charm. Featuring more bass toned red fruits and hints of sandalwood from the 25% new oak this has plenty of stuffing and is an unmistakable Domestic Pinot Noir, for better or worse depending on your palate. I say better, I mean you can like Burgundy and this at the same time right, RIGHT? (Anyways, I won't get into that right now.) Long, and with finishing energy and building savor this is just good damn Pinot. (Bryan, GTO)

91 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine: "Light cherry and stewed strawberry meet with spice-cake and rusty earth aromas on the nose of this clonal pairing. The palate shows an herbal side of bay leaf, thyme and marjoram, giving nuance to the tart pomegranate core." (5/1/22)

From Wine Spectator: "Dried red fruit and berry flavors show lots of sanguine and underbrush accents in this version, with medium-grained tannins and a spicy, supple finish. Drink now. 800 cases made." (9/30/21)
