2014 Boich Family "Wall Road Vineyard" Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
94 Points from Wine Enthusiast: "This is a thick, layered and leathery wine, with ample spice and complexity. Cinnamon, toast, clove, red currant and black cherry tones highlight a full-bodied robust experience of impressive integration and tamed tannins." (12/31/2018)
91 Points from Robert Parker: "Another mountain Cabernet, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Wall Road Vineyard from Mt. Veeder, reveals beautiful raspberry, blueberry and floral notes and sweet tannin in a complex style. The wine has loads of fruit, not a great deal of body, but enough to qualify as a medium-bodied wine, with soft tannins in the finish. One rarely sees a quintessentially elegant wine from Mt. Veeder, as most of them tend to be blockbusters, but this certainly qualifies. It has an attractive personality, and the finish is long and reassuring. This is a beauty to drink now and over the next 10-15 years – a sleeper of the vintage." (12/30/2016)
91 Points from Wine Spectator: "Shows a mix of muscular Cabernet strength, structure from firm tannins and gravelly minerality, and a drying sensation of extraction and sheer power. Not for the faint of heart. The tannins swarm on the finish. Best from 2020 through 2033. 330 cases made." (8/24/2017)
