2018 Vinedos del Jorco "Las Cabanuelas" Cebreros Garnacha

90 Points from Vinous: "Bright red. Spicy and tightly focused on the nose and in the mouth, displaying redcurrant and cherry qualities and a hint of blood orange. In a lively style, showing very good flavor intensity and zero excess fat. The blood orange note comes back on a long, nervy finish that shows just a hint of fine-grained tannins." (Feb. 2021)

From Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The entry-level red 2018 Las Cabañuelas is pure Garnacha from different plots, altitudes and soils (granite, sand, slate...), fermented and matured in a 10,000-liter oak vat. This is quite different from the rest of the range, not only because it's from a different vintage but also because it's produced in a different way, with 100% destemmed grapes and even fermented and matured in a different cellar. This is paler and lighter, with more tension, keeping the simple and straightforward profile, with a fruit-driven nose in which I even detected a somewhat herbal twist. The palate has the grainy texture of the granite soils and that dry sensation, more serious than just fruit. This is sold with the Cebreros appellation. 13,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2019." (4/23/20)
