94 Points Vinous: "Shimmering ruby-red. High-pitched red and blue fruit, floral and exotic spice scents, along with hints of earth and botanical herbs. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, offering intense boysenberry, black raspberry, spicecake and lavender flavors that turn sweeter through the back half. Shows excellent clarity and floral lift on the impressively long, blue-fruit-driven finish, which is framed by talc-y, even tannins. While Brianne Day has been focusing more on expanding her range of red, white, pink and orange-ish wines, especially from southern Oregon, her Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs have never been better. Made from fruit drawn from the famed Momtazi and Johan vineyards, and from hot vintages, no less, these are all finely detailed and energetic wines that favor finesse over power. I have little doubt that these 2017s and 2018s will age gracefully, but they are quite seductive already, and their tannic structures are anything but strict. The use of oak is judicious, which adds to their appeal right now." (2/2022)

91 Points from Wine & Spirits Magazine: "This is dark and fully extracted, with scents of beetroot and lilac, nori and blueberry. A deep balsamic note courses through it all, rich and vibrant. A cool wine that should age in interesting ways." (4/2022)
