2021 R. Dubois "Issu de Vieilles Vignes" Cote d'Or Bourgogne Rouge

From three old vine plots, all located the in the Cotes du Nuits-Villages, this is one of the best new-to-us Burgundy values we've come across in quite some time. Freshly pureed red fruits along with hints of new leather and white floral notes combine on the exuberant nose. Those red fruits continue on the softly textured and brad palate with an expansive mouthfeel and plenty of building earthy complexities as this opens. Hard to beat in the world of "affordable" Burgundy from what we've tasted over the past year. (Bryan, GTO)
