92 points Vinous: " Pale yellow. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of orange, pear skin, melon and succulent flowers. Shows very good energy and focus on the palate, offering vibrant citrus and orchard fruit, honeysuckle and vanilla flavors and a touch of mintiness. Closes on a spicy note, with sharp focus, very good length and repeating florality.

If any winery can claim to be a pioneer of Monterey County, it’s Talbott, which was established in 1982, in Carmel. Seemingly overnight, Talbott set a new standard for California, indeed, American Chardonnay.
