2018 Philippe Colin Bourgogne Rouge
From Vinous: "Bottled just before harvest, the 2018 Bourgogne Rouge offers light black currant and crushed strawberry scents on the nose, and just a hint of iodine in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a little fleshier and less brittle than some other generic reds encountered, and delivers good substance on the finish. Recommended." (11/19)
From Allen Meadow's Burghound: "A notably ripe nose offers up notes of pepper and earth on the syrah-like aromas. The exceptionally rich, concentrated and caressing middle weight flavors deliver good if not truly special depth and persistence in the context of what is typical for the appellation. This is atypically ripe but it's not over the top and certainly doesn't lack for character." (4/10/2020)
From Wine Spectator: "Black cherry and blackberry flavors are accented by earth in this stout red. Fleshy, with dense tannins on the finish. Drink now. 375 cases made, 50 cases imported." (Online Only Review)
