2024 Troupis Winery "Thunder" Arcadia Moschofilero Rose (1L)

OK, if you bought this bottle just for the label, I would never blame you. It is epic. If you bought this bottle because it is a Liter of Rose for under $15, that would be a smart move as well. But if you want to know what the hell Moschofilero is before you jump into this then here you go. Moschofilero is a Greek grape that is highly floral, both in aromatics and in flavor that has pinkish hues to the skins a lot like Pinot Gris or Gewurztraminer. The wine picks up some of this color in pressing and fermentation and BOOM, rose! Peppy and with considerable zing this wine delivery lychee, peach and white raspberry flavors on a completely dry frame. The Liter format is perfect when you just need to squeeze out one more glass after a tough day. (Bryan, GTO)
